Baseline is not a typical American suburban development and will focus on a lifestyle that is more walkable and sustainable. I imagined large geometric shapes (inspired by the brand created by Strada) weaved through the landscape and interacting playfully with the nature surrounding them, blurring the lines between signage and art.
The temporary signage breaks with the standard post and panel look used by most suburban developments. Modular cubical wooden structures allow for messaging on all four sides and panels can easily be swapped as the project evolves.
The permanent signage uses natural materials that both complement and contrast with the Colorado landscape.
While the project is still years in the making, some of the permanent signage is already installed. When construction is completed, a beautiful landscape designed with native plants will provide the backdrop.
